Flexible, thin and light-weight batteries
A research thrust that we have just started engaging in is the development of new batteries, where the main motivation is to identify batteries useful for instance for flexible devices in wearable technology. We are exploring various approaches to this goal, the central theme being to use the large surface area provided by rod-like nanoparticles or fibers produced e.g. by electrospinning. With time we will report on our progress here.
