A Ph.D. position in the group of Prof. Numa Bertola of the Sustainable Concrete Structures group, in collaboration with ESMP, is now open! The topic is on developing novel bridge monitoring based on cholesterol liquid crystal elastomer coatings, using image analysis techniques to spatially monitor the health and integrity of bridges and develop a new understanding of concrete degradation.
